I use machine learning to research how cells regulate gene expression.

ACGT so on and so forth--that's the code the human genome is written in. We still cannot read it, but with the convergence of big biological data, machine learning advances, and accessible genome editing, I wouldn't bet on this mystery lasting much longer.

The piece of the puzzle that I'm focusing on right now is synthesizing the information in vast regions of DNA to understand how cells regulate gene expression.


I'm currently a postdoctoral fellow working in Dr. John Rinn's lab in the Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology department at Harvard University.
